In 2002, GLOBAL INNOVATIVE was born which makes it a 10 year-old school. Relatively, GCIC is still very young. Despite its age, it is undeniable that it has initiated several innovative programs to be able to provide nothing else but the quality education among its students. While it is easier to define INNOVATION in the light of creativity, GLOBAL INNOVATIVE believes that INNOVATIVENESS is more than being creative. For GCIC, INNOVATION is rather an action word instead of a noun. It is a way of life as one attempts to introduce change that creates a new dimension of performance. It is the way how everyone behind GCIC talks, thinks and acts.
Allow me to enumerate several INNOVATIONS which I can confidently credit to GLOBAL INNOVATIVE. These distinct uniqueness which can be qualified RATED P.G. (Rated Purely Globalian) which clearly manifests a different dimension of performance.
THE 5 STUDENT HOUSES – GLOBAL INNOVATIVE students, faculty and staff are grouped according to their student and employee numbers. The clustering is named after 5 ancient Greek gods and goddesses – Apollo (Sun), Hephaestus (Fire), Gaia (Earth), Aeolus (Wind), Poseidon (Water). This grouping serves as an avenue where competitions, trainings and other activities are being conducted. These Houses serve as students brotherhood-groups headed and coached by an appointed Chancellor. This will remind you of Hogwart’s clustering group in the film Harry Potter.
THE LIFE SUBJECTS – most colleges and universities will require students to take specific Institutional Subjects. GLOBAL INNOVATIVE offers LIFE (Leadership, Innovation, Fellowship, Excellence) subjects is based on the college’s core values. Altogether, there are 4 LIFE subjects (LIFE 101-104) which should be completed within 4 years of students’ stay in the college. The LIFE subjects help students to discover their inner selves, to set their goals, to understand their roles in the society, to appreciate their personal fortunate circumstances from those who are less fortunate, prepare their professional portfolio, and understand the harsh realities of life after college and be able to better face challenges that will come along their way. LIFE subjects implement a non-traditional workshop type of delivery filled with creative and interactive activities.
THE G.MAGAZINE – traditionally, most schools would have a school organ in a form of a 4 – 8 page news letter which looks like a news paper. GLOBAL INNOVATIVE does this differently by coming up with a proper magazine. The organization behind this discovers and uses talents of students to create a printed output which highlights accomplishments, features personalities, and promotes exciting student-life in GCIC. Copies of this magazine are distributed for free among all the students and corporate partners.
OUT-OF-THE-BOX STUDENT ACTIVITIES – GLOBAL INNOVATIVE always makes sure to come up with non-traditional activities for all which are professionally executed. Inter-house Assemblies, Acquaintance Parties, non-traditional Graduation Program, amazing production and stage designs, prestigious pageants, community parades and others are just few in the list which are far innovative and spectacular compared to how other schools do theirs.
RESPECT FOR STUDENTS’ MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE & LEARNING STYLES – the college believes that there are no poor students, only poor teachers who do not deliver the best education that students deserve. GLOBAL INNOVATIVE believes that students learn differently and they have their individual learning styles depending on their personalities. To address these, the college requires all faculty to undergo a series of trainings and workshops on Multiple Intelligences and Learning Styles. They are trained to come up with diverse teaching methodologies and approaches which will make every class an exciting environment, interactive and dynamic setting conducive to learning. Teachers are encouraged to be EDUTAINERS using non-traditional, innovative, interactive and creative teaching techniques. This Faculty Development Program is being supervised by Philippines’ Multiple Intelligence advocate and guru – Prof. Henry Tenedero who is now an in-house consultant of GCIC.
LEARNING TO THINK WELL THROUGH MIND MAPPING – Globalians are taught how to think well using mind mapping. In partnership with trained and certified Mind Mappers from Singapore, students are given best practices and are trained on how to make use of mind mapping as they unravel their thoughts, brainstorm, conceptualize, review, analyze, plan, present concepts, take notes and others.
INTERNATIONAL IMMERSION PROGRAMS – GLOBAL INNOVATIVE also believes that International exposure is a great venue for students to experience a different environment as they apply the many things they learn from the classrooms. Students are sent abroad for International Immersion Programs or Study Tours. Business Students were sent to the US and Singapore, Education Students to Taiwan and Hospitality Management Students to China. As they come back, it has been observed that students have become more cautious in the way they view their future professions manifesting a more mature personality.
THE CITY CAMPUS – GLOBAL INNOVATIVE does not confine itself inside its centralized air-conditioned building. Beyond the walls of the classrooms is a city of partnership and opportunities for student training, learning and possible employment. The college was able to establish a closer relationship with the Estate Management which paves way for a number of partnered activities around the area. Students hold their practicum and OJT on the best establishments and corporations around BGC. Consequently, many of them are also employed by companies around the vicinity.

GLOBAL INNOVATIVE team is composed of the who’s who in various professional fields. To name a few, we have DR. CAROLINA DANAO (former Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig President & book-writer), DR. PARENTING CARAVAN – GLOBAL INNOVATIVE also believes on the integral part and role of parents in the achievement of students’ maximum potentials. The support from home emanating from parents provides the best ingredient in the emotional, spiritual, personal and even physical growth of every individual. GCIC has introduced a unique Parenting Program which has become very popular among several high schools, religious organizations and community groups around the area.
Also, on top of these, the plan to formalize the CENTER FOR INNOVATION is already in the pipeline.
